Un P'tit Cafe.
Il fait trop chaud! And yes, I know I've been away for quite a bit but there's a small change happening in my life right now so please pardon me. I just got back from Paris a week ago and this time I had Ping keep me company while we do what we do best - sipping coffee. It may come as a surprise to some, but it was our first time in Paris together.
My favorite Boot Cafe had to be the first stop, of course. This tiny little space never fails to impress! The baristas are never French so it makes it easier to order your cuppa. The coffee they serve is strong enough, none of that “jus de chaussettes” nonsense. Next on our list was Ten Belles, but when we got there it was WAY packed and we decided to get some actual petit dej at La Chambre aux Oiseaux before our hunger got the better of us. We managed to beat the brunch crowd and snagged a table out on the terrasse, but a reservation is highly advisable. This place serves very good bread (paired with an even better selection of jams!)
This was actually my second last time in Paris (for work) so Ping and I made use of our remaining time to create more memories (by taking photos in the gorgeous Parisian sun!) Our spontaneity brought us to the Palais Royal for a couple of shots, and we managed to enjoy a quiet respite from the tourists at Cafe Kitsune. I am definitely looking forward to my final flight to Paris (with some awesome company this time) but that also means it'll all come to an end very soon. Oh là là, how I'll miss Paris when I finally leave this job!
