Paris Lookbook.
Stepping into Fall meant more rain but better light so we went a little overboard with the “self-portraits” especially after Aisyah joined us in Paris. Right after she arrived, we headed straight for Château de Versailles which neither of them has been to. Of course, the whole of China was there with us so we had to be really strategic with where to take our photos because we were dealing with trained photo-bombers. Lucky for us we still managed to have some greenery to make the photos pop but you could already see fallen leaves on the ground.
We spent around four hours exploring the grounds before it started drizzling so off we went, back to the city for Le Petit Palais and some much needed food! As you could probably tell, the rain was hindering our plans so we retreated back to the Airbnb.
The next day was forecasted to be “Fair” but really it was too sunny for our liking. We set out pretty early for an American breakfast and hit the Père Lachaise cemetery (I love this place!) The grays and browns of the place made for very sombre photos which was right up my alley. For those of you who are curious about the cute little cross-shaped pharmacy entrance where I took my photo, it's called Pharmacie Tran and is located on 166 Rue de la Roquette. You heard it here first.
To make the day even more fruitful, we did a free guided tour at the Fragonard Musée du Parfum and quite liked it. No scam, no nonsense. The only part where they “sell” you anything was at the end of the tour inside the museum shop but the quality of the parfum was top-notch. However, if you are not looking to spend a dime you can just decline politely. All of us voted for the unisex scent, étoile, which translates to “star” in French. We made a quick last stop at the Louvre and Le Palais-Royal for some photos and ended our day with yet another non-French meal.
As you may know, Hurricane Irma destroyed the Carribean as well as our plans made in Cuba but stay tuned to see what we pulled off with just 12 hours to plan!
